Requesting Reinstatement

To Whom It May Concern:

I am writing to formally request reinstatement as a United States Army Reserve Soldier. I enlisted in the Reserves in 2004 and served honorably for three years without any disciplinary incidents. However, in 2007, I received an Article 15 for engaging in an improper relationship with a Soldier senior in rank. As a result of this action, my reenlistment was denied.

I deeply regret my past actions and now fully understand the detrimental impact such relationships can have on good order and discipline within the military. I have come to appreciate the rewarding nature of my time in the Army and recognize the importance of adhering to the highest standards of conduct. Over the years, I have grown and matured, and I now have a stable and supportive family life that would enable me to fully dedicate myself to military service while on duty.

I want to emphasize that the circumstances that led to my non-judicial punishment no longer exist, and I am committed to not repeating the same mistake. I have learned from my past and am determined to uphold the values and principles that the Army holds dear. I am grateful for the opportunity to apply for reinstatement and humbly request another chance to pursue my goal of becoming a career Soldier.

Thank you for considering my request. I am prepared to provide any additional information or documentation that may be required to support my reinstatement application.

Sincerely,

Amber A. Ajackson
