Equal Opportunity Advisor
The individual serves as an Equal Opportunity Advisor and provides advisory services to the Garrison Commander on matters related to Equal Opportunity (EO). They offer essential services to over 2,000 Soldiers, Department of the Army (DA) Civilians, and Family members assigned to 47 tenant organizations. Their role involves advising commanders at all levels on EO, conducting climate assessments, and facilitating complaint resolution. They also conduct staff assistance visits, collect and analyze statistical data, oversee the implementation of EO Action Plans, and ensure compliance with DoD and DA policies and directives. Additionally, they are responsible for managing the program budget and office equipment, as well as planning and conducting EO Leader Certification Courses. They maintain a 24-hour EO assistance hotline to provide support as needed.
Equal Opportunity Advisor (EOA)
The individual serves as the Equal Opportunity Advisor (EOA) for the United States Army Hawaii (USARHAW) and the 25th Infantry Division (25ID), supporting a community of over 30,000 Soldiers, Department of Defense (DoD) Civilians, and Family members. Their role includes assisting in the implementation of EO policies and regulations. They serve as the lead facilitator for the USARHAW Equal Opportunity Leaders Course (EOLC), receive and process EO complaints, and collect and analyze critical data from Command Climate Surveys. They conduct Staff Assistance Visits (SAVs) to subordinate Brigades/units and oversee the implementation of monthly USARHAW Special and Ethnic Observances. Additionally, they are responsible for managing the section’s budget, which amounts to over $20,000.
Lead Equal Opportunity Advisor
The individual serves as a senior noncommissioned officer and the lead enlisted Equal Opportunity Advisor to the Commanding General. They provide support both in garrison and in forward deployed locations, directly assisting more than 26,000 Soldiers across 20 different countries. Their responsibilities include overseeing and executing EO policy enforcement, training, and guidance. They are accountable for reporting trends analysis related to discrimination and ensuring fair and equitable treatment throughout the command/region. Additionally, they are responsible for the professional and interpersonal development and welfare of ten Equal Opportunity Advisors (EOAs).
Equal Opportunity Advisor
The individual serves as the Equal Opportunity Advisor to the 7th Infantry Division Commander, focusing on matters related to EO for 20,000 Soldiers. They formulate overall EO plans and policies for the division, conduct annual Staff Assistance and Assessments visits (SAAV) to subordinate units, and oversee the training and daily operations of Equal Opportunity Representative Courses. They also inspect unit EO compliance through the Division Organizational Inspection Program, track and provide input to the DA EO database, and prepare, analyze, and submit Quarterly Narrative & Statistical Reports to FORSCOM.
Division Equal Opportunity (EO) Advisor
The individual serves as a Division Equal Opportunity (EO) Advisor within the 10th Mountain Division (LI). Their responsibilities include assisting in the implementation of the EO program, receiving and processing complaints, conducting staff assistance visits to subordinate brigades/units, and disseminating EO policies and guidance to over 20,000 Soldiers and Family members. They coordinate and instruct the Division Equal Opportunity Leaders Course, collect and interpret demographic EO data to identify inequitable management practices, and plan and coordinate division-level ethnic observances, including guest speaker requisitioning.
Division Equal Opportunity (EO) Advisor
The individual serves as an Equal Opportunity NCOIC for a Combined Joint Task Force deployed to Kandahar, Afghanistan. Their role involves assisting in the implementation of the EO program, receiving and processing complaints, conducting staff assistance visits to subordinate Task Forces and Sustainment commands, and disseminating EO policies and guidance to over 17,400 Soldiers, Sailors, Air Force personnel, Navy personnel, and civilians. They coordinate and instruct a 40-hour Equal Opportunity Leaders Course and a 20-hour Unit Victim Advocate Course. Additionally, they plan, coordinate, and implement ethnic observances, including requisitioning guest speakers. They also collect, organize, and interpret demographic EO data on a quarterly basis within the Combined Joint Task Force.
