Victim Advocate Duty Descriptions

Brigade Victim Advocate

As the Brigade Victim Advocate, I provide crucial support to a community of X,XXX Soldiers and their families. My primary role is to offer information and assistance to sexual assault victims, acting as a liaison between the victim and service providers. I am dedicated to supporting victims throughout the initial and ongoing investigation process and providing continuous support during court proceedings. Conducting annual sexual assault training and pre-deployment sexual assault briefings are also part of my responsibilities. Regularly briefing the command on the status of victim services is essential to ensure effective support. Additionally, I facilitate monthly case status updates and remain available to respond to any situation 24/7.
