11B1P Unit Armorer

As the Unit Armorer for an Airborne Infantry company supporting a team of over 100 Soldiers, I collaborate closely with leadership to ensure seamless support for deployment and redeployment operations. My primary responsibilities revolve around maintaining the physical security of the arms room and ensuring the strict accountability and proper maintenance of more than $5,000,000 worth of MTOE and weapons. In addition to overseeing the inventory, I instruct Soldiers on the proper care and maintenance of all assigned small-arms. It is my duty to maintain accurate hand-receipts for equipment issued both locally and during deployment. I also handle calibration, zeroing, and user-level maintenance of small-arms. If any failures occur, I promptly identify them and coordinate higher-level maintenance as necessary.


Unit Armorer

In the role of Unit Armorer for a field artillery battalion supporting a team of over 200 Soldiers, my primary objective is to ensure the smooth execution of deployment and redeployment operations. I am accountable for the maintenance and accurate tracking of over $1 million worth of MTOE and weapons. Part of my responsibilities includes providing comprehensive instruction to Soldiers on the proper care and maintenance of all assigned small-arms. Moreover, I am responsible for meticulously maintaining hand-receipts for equipment issued both locally and during deployments. Additionally, I handle the calibration, zeroing, and user-level maintenance of small-arms, promptly identifying any failures and arranging higher-level maintenance support when required.


Arms Room NCOIC

During my tenure as an Arms Room NCOIC in a field artillery battery assigned a non-standard mission in support of a deployed light infantry brigade combat team during Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF) XI-XII, I provided essential support to over 60 Soldiers. In this role, I assumed responsibility for the health, morale, and welfare of one Soldier, ensuring their proficiency in skill level one tasks. Additionally, I coordinated the battery’s deployment and redeployment operations, while meticulously accounting for and maintaining over $3 million worth of MTOE and TPE equipment.


Arms Room NCOIC

I served as an Arms Room NCOIC in Headquarters and Headquarters Troop, 2nd Squadron, 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment, at the National Training Center (NTC). This unique assignment involved Army doctrinal and Opposing Force training, supporting a substantial team of over 380 Soldiers across seven rotations. As the Arms Room NCOIC, I had the responsibility of overseeing the welfare of one Soldier, ensuring their proficiency in skill level one tasks. Moreover, I meticulously accounted for and maintained 1,367 sensitive items, totaling over $11.5 million.
