You perform technical inspections and closely monitor the quality control program for aircraft systems and subsystems. Your expertise allows you to troubleshoot and inspect aircraft systems, subsystems, and components in accordance with relevant technical publications and regulations. Safety procedures are a top priority, and you provide technical guidance to ensure adherence to maintenance practices. Additionally, you are responsible for maintaining comprehensive aircraft historical forms and records, ensuring accurate documentation of inspections and maintenance activities.
91B3O/Technical Inspector
As a Technical Inspector in the 91B3O field, your focus is on maintaining quality standards throughout the production process. You evaluate incoming materials, conduct visual and measurement tests to confirm specifications, and approve or reject materials accordingly. You also oversee in-process production and communicate necessary adjustments to the production supervisor. Your attention to detail ensures that finished products meet quality standards, and you document inspection results in reports and logs. In cases where re-work is necessary, you initiate the appropriate actions and maintain records of re-work and waste. Creating a safe and healthy work environment is also part of your responsibility, and you complete any related tasks as needed.
Aviation Maintenance Technical Inspector
In your role as an Aviation Maintenance Technical Inspector, you provide vital maintenance guidance to the Aviation Branch Chief and closely monitor the performance of helicopter mechanics, ground support personnel, aircraft attendants, and contractors assigned to your aircraft. Your primary objective is to ensure that maintenance standards are met in accordance with established policies, manuals, and instruments. You play a key role in ensuring that proper maintenance techniques are utilized, contributing to the overall operational readiness of the aircraft. Your responsibilities also include managing the aircraft technical library, maintaining publications files, aircraft log books, TWX files, calibration monitor files, and recurring reports. Furthermore, you have the opportunity to contribute as part of the flight crew, flying aboard the helicopter as needed.
