SUBSISTENCE NCO

The Subsistence NCO is responsible for various tasks related to subsistence management. They handle the daily headcount and verify the identification of individuals entering the dining facility. Additionally, they ensure that contractors properly store, safeguard, and account for all government subsistence items. They also maintain the proper segregation and maintenance of stored rations according to established guidelines. Furthermore, they are responsible for maintaining the serviceability of assigned equipment.

SUBSISTENCE NCO

The Subsistence NCO is responsible for the requisition, accountability, wholesomeness, and safe storage of subsistence items. They assist in planning subsistence support for field exercises and ensure compliance with directives related to subsistence supply storage and distribution operations. They play a role in preparing and updating warehouse planograms and ensuring compliance with standards of serviceability, reclamation, salvage, and disposal procedures. They also conduct warehousing surveillance and inspections and prepare reports on personnel and equipment availability.

SUBSISTENCE SUPERVISOR

The Subsistence Supervisor oversees the requisition, accountability, and storage of subsistence items. They plan and write Letters of Instruction (LOIs) for subsistence support during major field exercises. They work with and provide advice to installation food service and the installation menu board. They interpret and utilize command and CONUS annual food plans. They ensure compliance with directives related to subsistence supply storage and distribution. Additionally, they manage the operation of a troop issue subsistence activity and provide guidance and supervision to subordinate personnel.

SUBSISTENCE SUPPLY SUPERVISOR

The Subsistence Supply Supervisor analyzes subsistence requirements and consolidates requisitions. They supervise the accountability and safe storage of subsistence items before distribution to requesting units. They assist in planning subsistence support for field exercises and ensure compliance with standards for serviceability, reclamation, salvage, and disposal procedures. They also prepare reports on personnel and equipment availability, storage space, and the relocation of materiel.

SUBSISTENCE SUPPLY SPECIALIST

The Subsistence Supply Specialist ensures the wholesomeness, safe storage, and issuance of subsistence items. They assist in the collection and consolidation of ration requisitions. They provide accountability and storage of subsistence items before distribution to requesting units. They are involved in the loading and unloading of rations using both mechanical handling equipment (MHE) and manual methods. They ensure that stored rations are properly segregated and maintained according to established guidelines. Additionally, they are responsible for maintaining the serviceability of assigned equipment.
