Patriot System Evaluator
As an Intermediate Support Element (ISE) NCOIC serving as a Patriot System Evaluator, one is responsible for coordinating and resolving sustainment maintenance system outages for four Patriot Firing Batteries and one Headquarters Battery. This involves providing quick response contact teams and utilizing sophisticated test equipment and complex schematics to diagnose and correct system malfunctions. The NCOIC is responsible for implementing, managing, and supervising six NCOs, 19 Soldiers, and their families. They also conduct on-site repairs of Patriot system equipment, which is valued at over $200,000,000. Additionally, the NCOIC is responsible for the unit’s test equipment and vehicles, which have a combined value of over $5,500,000. They coordinate with civilian counterparts for higher level support as needed.
Operations NCO (SPO)/94Z
In the role of Operations NCO (SPO)/94Z, one serves as the ARFORGEN Materiel Enterprise Cell and Materiel Readiness Branch NCOIC for the 21st Theater Sustainment Command, Support Operations. The NCO is responsible for managing the USAREUR’s Left Behind Equipment (LBE) maintenance program, which involves conducting site assessments and quality assurance visits. They also assist in managing USAREUR’s equipment ARFORGEN cycle and oversee all Reset and LBE activities valued in excess of $1.2B. The NCO develops policies and procedures for the theater’s maintenance program and is responsible for the training, health, morale, and welfare of 42 Soldiers, NCOs, officers, DA civilians, and local nationals. They are accountable for installation property valued at $125,000.
