  • Prior to mobilization, I took the initiative to attend a Hearing Conservation Technician course and obtained certification. This enabled me to provide comprehensive hearing assessments, patient education, and counseling.

Otolaryngology Service NCOIC

  • In a joint service environment, my Military bearing and confidence make me sought after by other services to assist with their Army personnel for the Department of Surgery.

  • I have expert knowledge in high-level Infection Control for clinical scopes. The SOPs and guidance I provided played a key role in the successful Joint Commission Survey.
  • In the month of January alone, I instructed over 250 lower enlisted personnel through four Soldier development program courses.
  • During the month of January, I also instructed over 200 NCOs through four NCO development program courses.

Develops

  • I facilitated multiple-day MRT classes, significantly increasing Troop Command’s FY16 compliance by training over 300 Officers, NCOs, and enlisted personnel.
  • As part of the 68U program, I instructed two Phase II training iterations totaling 14 weeks at WRNMMC.

Achieves

  • During a phase II training program audit for the 68U program at WRNMMC, I earned an excellence rating, securing three more years of accreditation.
  • I led a successful humanitarian aid mission in Honduras as the Senior Enlisted, overseeing and participating in 44 surgeries.
  • As the Service Training NCOIC, my proactive reporting of training delinquencies resulted in a consistent completion rate of 90% or higher for FY16.
