As a Petroleum Heavy Equipment Operator deployed to Camp Arifjan Kuwait, in support of Operation New Dawn, I operate in a Palletized Load System (PLS) Medium Truck Company. My duties encompass the receipt, transport, and issuance of Class III bulk and Class IX products. I am responsible for conducting weekly inventories, inspections, and proper disposal of used petroleum products. Additionally, I perform quarterly training on OSHA regulations and ensure the submission of all required reports associated with field-level maintenance operations and the SAMS-1E system. During my deployment to COB Basrah, Iraq, I provided retail ground refueling operations and aerial fuel support. I oversee the acquisition, testing, and distribution of Class III bulk petroleum products to support the Task Force’s No Mercy 31 multi-airframe aircraft. Moreover, I supervise the operation and maintenance of five 50K collapsible fuel bags, three-point theater FARP, one prime mover, and other related petroleum supply equipment valued at over one million dollars.

As a Squad Leader in a Petroleum and Water Distribution Platoon, I provide support to the 45th Sustainment Brigade, the 8th Theater Sustainment Command, the 25th Infantry Division, and non-divisional units assigned to the United States Army Pacific. During OIF 09-10, I offered bulk and retail ground refueling operations and aerial fuel support for COB Adder.
