Allied Trade Specialist Supervisor

The Allied Trade Specialist Supervisor serves in a Field Maintenance Company within the 710th Brigade Support Battalion, part of the 3D Brigade Combat Team of the 10th Mountain Division (LI). They are forward-deployed to Operation Enduring Freedom XIV-VX. In their role, they supervise the overall daily mission of the Service and Recovery section (S&R), which provides direct support to units at FOB Shank. This support includes recovery assistance as well as the fabrication, repair, and modification of metallic and nonmetallic parts. The supervisor is accountable for organizational and theater-provided equipment valued at $2,361,581. They are responsible for the health, morale, welfare, professional development, and discipline of one non-commissioned officer (NCO) and six soldiers.

91E30 Machinist

The Machinist (91E30) fabricates, repairs, and modifies metallic and nonmetallic parts using various machines and tools. They utilize equipment such as engine lathes, utility grinders, power cutoff saws, armature undercutters, arbor and hydraulic presses, drill presses, and associated attachments and accessories. In addition to their technical duties, they also supervise lower-grade soldiers and provide them with technical guidance to help them carry out their duties effectively.
