Recruiting and Retention NCO
The Recruiting and Retention NCO is assigned to the Valdosta, GA recruiting station and is responsible for the strength of Georgia units. Their duties include recruiting, determining applicant enlistment eligibility, counseling applicants on enlistment programs and options, preparing enlistment applications, and processing qualified applicants to enlist in the Army National Guard. 79T50 Recruiting and Retention NCOIC
The 79T50 Recruiting and Retention NCOIC is assigned to Region 4 and supervises eight production Recruiting and Retention NCOs (RRNCOs). Their responsibilities include establishing performance standards, monitoring and evaluating the RRNCOs’ overall effectiveness in recruiting and retention activities/programs, counseling and rating RRNCOs in accordance with regulations and local policy, ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory guidance in the use of vehicles, information technology hardware/software, and expense accounts. They also assist in training recruiter assistants, develop and analyze statistical data, provide sustainment and remedial training to team members, and make recommendations for disciplinary action and/or dismissal of RRNCOs as required.
79T ARNG Recruiting and Retention NCO
The 79T ARNG Recruiting and Retention NCO is assigned to the Bloomington recruiting station and is responsible for the strength of CO B 1/131 Infantry. Their duties include recruiting, determining applicant enlistment eligibility, counseling applicants on enlistment programs and options, preparing enlistment applications, and processing qualified applicants to enlist in the Active Army and Army National Guard. They also account for and train Future Soldiers for initial entry training, implement Army awareness programs in a specific area, maintain a network of influencers, and manage government equipment worth $30,000.
Recruiting and Retention NCO
The Recruiting and Retention NCO conducts various tasks such as prospecting for leads, preparing prospect cards, refining leads, conducting school programs, determining basic enlistment eligibility, pre-qualifying individuals for enlistment, evaluating eligibility for extension or immediate reenlistment, conducting enlistment, attrition management, and retention interviews. They also explain selected reserve incentive programs, the Montgomery GI Bill, initial entry training requirements, test results, enlistment options/programs/obligations, non-regular service retirement, employer support, reemployment rights, evaluate unit sponsorship programs, brief applicants on MEPS (Military Entrance Processing Station) processing, prepare enlistment packets, counsel applicants, and operate the Guard Accession Information Network System. Additionally, they establish media contacts and conduct direct mail campaigns.
Recruiting and Retention NCO
The Recruiting and Retention NCO evaluates the unit’s retention environment, explains strength maintenance recognition programs, conducts strength maintenance interviews and briefings, develops time management work plans, trains unit first-line leaders on career planning, reviews requests for separation, transfer, or discharge alternatives, reviews extension and immediate reenlistment procedures, evaluates retention data, forms, and files, and analyzes unit pay and performance data.
Family Assistance NCO
The Family Assistance NCO initiates security for family assistance operations, explains the National Guard Family Program, identifies resources for family assistance, provides referral services for family members, prepares DD Form 1172 for DEERS (Defense Enrollment Eligibility Reporting System) enrollment, issues ID cards for family members during mobilization, develops a state marketing plan, prepares an advertising budget, determines regulatory requirements for advertising, and writes recruiting and retention advertising copy and scripts. The Family Assistance NCO plays a crucial role in supporting and assisting families associated with the National Guard, ensuring they have access to resources and services, and providing guidance and support during mobilization.
Unspecified
The Unspecified Recruiting and Retention NCO performs a variety of tasks in support of recruiting and retention efforts. They generate leads and prospects, interview and process qualified applicants for enlistment, prepare forms and documents, and conduct formal and informal presentations on the advantages of the National Guard to student bodies, civic and service organizations. They also provide technical assistance in retention and attrition management programs for affiliated units and act as Recruit Sustainment Program (RSP) Cadre during inactive duty training weekends. Additionally, they ensure that all assigned Soldiers are physically, mentally, and administratively prepared for Basic Combat Training.
