68F Physical Therapy Specialist Duty Descriptions

Works alongside the physical therapist to improve the mobility of Soldiers requiring physical therapy within the Brigade Combat Team (BCT). Responsible for independently administering physical therapy under the direction of the Physical Therapist and assisting in carrying out physical therapy treatment plans. Provides training to role 1 medics on proper joint injury assessment, physical therapy exercises, and preventive exercises to enhance combat power within the BCT. Additionally, serves as the team leader for the Treatment Platoon, ensuring the care, welfare, training, and readiness of three Soldiers and over $50,000 worth of equipment.

Works with and operates under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. Supervises or administers physical therapy interventions to decrease physical disabilities and promote physical fitness among patients.
