Wheeled Vehicle Mechanic for a Forward Support Company (FSC)
Serves as a Wheeled Vehicle Mechanic for a Forward Support Company (FSC) deployed in support of the Combined Joint Special Operations Task Force-Afghanistan (CJSOTF-A) Village Stability Operations in the Northern Balkh Province, Afghanistan. Maintains hazardous materials, TMDE (Test, Measurement, and Diagnostic Equipment), unscheduled services, and Quality Assurance/Quality Control on organizational and direct support maintenance for 74 Strykers, 40 wheeled vehicles, and over 400 pieces of communication and weapon systems. The primary duties of a 63B mechanic involve maintaining and conducting unit maintenance and recovery operations on light-wheel vehicles, including gasoline and diesel-fueled prime movers designated as 5 tons or less, as well as their associated trailers.
