Brigade HR Technician 420A

As a Brigade HR Technician, your role encompasses being the Human Resources (HR) technical expert on regulatory matters, HR systems, HR services, and other HR issues. You are responsible for ensuring the proper execution of HR systems at the brigade and below level, including the maintenance, updates, and accuracy of the HR database. Facilitating HR training within the brigade is another key aspect of your job. You oversee Personnel Information Management (PIM), HR services, Personnel Automation Systems (PAS) management, HR technical and system training, records management, casualty operations, and the Line of Duty (LOD) process. Additionally, you provide HR technical oversight and HR systems oversight, reviewing personnel actions prepared by the brigade S-1 and battalion S-1 sections to ensure regulatory guidance is applied and enforced.

Military Personnel Technician

As a Military Personnel Technician, you serve as part of the multi-component Sustainment Brigade (Modular) deployed to Iraq in support of OIF 08-10. Your role involves providing combat personnel support to four battalions and 3,200 soldiers. You act as the Human Resources (HR) advisor for the brigade and battalion S1s. Your responsibilities include managing and ensuring the functionality of all HR systems such as eMILPO, eTOPMIS, TOPMIS II, EDAS, RLAS, DTAS, DCIPS, and HURS. You are accountable for the brigade’s daily JPERSTAT reports and DTAS reconciliation. Guiding administrative programs, casualty operations, replacement operations, Personnel Information Management, and Personnel Readiness Management are also part of your duties. Additionally, you oversee the Essential Personnel Services delivery of the section, including awards, evaluations, rest and recuperation (R&R), personnel actions, finance, and officer/enlisted promotions. You provide guidance on personnel matters and personnel systems to the brigade’s HR personnel.

Human Resources (HR) Technical Officer

As an HR Technical Officer, your main responsibility is executing overall HR services and administrative support functions for an Airborne Infantry Brigade Combat Team (BCT) comprising over 3,500 personnel. You serve as the primary advisor to the Brigade S-1 on all HR matters and manage the Brigade S-1 Human Resources Services & Support (HRSS) section. Providing guidance to Battalion S1 sections and ensuring operational compliance with HR support functions are also part of your role. You oversee the administrative processing of military evaluations, decorations and awards, promotions, and individual personnel actions. Additionally, you maintain and update individual Soldier records. Your additional responsibilities include serving as the Site Survey Manager for the Common Access Card system and acting as the Information Assurance Security Officer (IASO). Supervising six Human Resources paratroopers is also part of your duties.

Brigade HR Technician/420AP

As a Brigade HR Technician/420AP, you serve as a Human Resource Technician for the 4th Brigade Combat Team, which consists of over 3,500 Soldiers. Your role supports the 18-hour, no-notice, worldwide deployment mission of the 82nd Airborne Division. You act as the HR technical advisor to the Brigade S1, the Brigade Command Group, and six subordinate Battalion S1s on various personnel and administrative programs. These include replacement operations, readiness, HR policy, personnel accounting and strength reporting, and personnel services, with a focus on officer/enlisted promotions, evaluations, Soldier Readiness Processing (SRP), finance, actions, and various DA HR database systems (DCIPS, DTAS, TPS, EDAS, TOPMIS, and DEERS). You provide field feedback to the Division G1 to enhance the implementation of the Personnel Services Delivery Redesign program throughout the Army. Additionally, you lead, train, and mentor an HR Management Center consisting of one junior officer, 7 NCOs, and 9 junior enlisted Soldiers. Your role is crucial in ensuring efficient and effective HR support within the brigade, particularly during high-demand deployment scenarios.

Brigade HR Technician/420A

As a Brigade Human Resource Technician for the 101st Combat Aviation Brigade Task Force, which consists of over 3,000 Soldiers, you support a Force-Entry Brigade in the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault). Your responsibilities include serving as the HR technical advisor to the Brigade S1, the Brigade Command Group, and subordinate unit S1 personnel. You provide guidance on all personnel and administrative programs, including casualty operations, replacement operations, readiness, HR policy, personnel accounting and strength reporting, postal operations, and personnel services. Your expertise extends to evaluations, awards, finance, and various DA HR database systems, both for officers and enlisted personnel, even during combat operations. You play a crucial role in providing field feedback to the Army G1 to enhance the implementation of the Personnel Services Delivery Redesign program across the Army. Additionally, you lead and mentor an HR Management Center consisting of one junior officer, six NCOs, and three junior enlisted Soldiers. Your dedication and expertise contribute to the overall success of the brigade’s HR operations.
