Military Judge

Facilitates legal proceedings in collaboration with the legal office, Staff Judge Advocate, defense counsel, and commanding officers; drafts legal documentation to support hearings and courts-martial; appoints members to the panel and convenes court proceedings in adherence to military law; provides guidance to court officers regarding their responsibilities; assesses facts and determines the nature of the offense; ensures that offenders receive all the legal protections and rights guaranteed by the UCMJ; evaluates evidence and renders judgments; administers appropriate punishments based on the grade and nature of the offense; informs offenders about their right to appeal; reviews actions to ensure accuracy and timely resolution.
