25U Training Developer (Continued)

As a Writer/Instructor for Signal Training Operation Development Training Education Developer (STOD TED), I am engaged in analyzing, developing, implementing, and evaluating training products for both institutional and organizational environments. My role includes ensuring the continuous updating of lesson plans, equipment, facilities, and publications within the Training Development Capability (TDC). I actively contribute to Course Administrative Data (CAD) and Training Requirements (TRAS) documents, conduct classroom observations and course validations, and participate in the Critical Task Site Selection Board (CTSSB). Additionally, I provide recommendations for changes to the Army Correspondence Course Program (ACCP) and Field Manuals (FM) and undertake revisions of Programs of Instruction (POI) for MOS.

25U20/Signal Support Systems NCO

In my capacity as the primary Signal Support Systems NCO for the Battalion, I am responsible for delivering signal support to nine subordinate companies, comprising over 1,200 Soldiers. My role involves supervising, planning, and executing the installation, operation, and maintenance of all signal support systems, including mission command systems. I am tasked with training personnel in the installation, operation, and maintenance of SINGARS, ASIP, and associated line-of-sight equipment, as well as BFT Command and Control systems. Additionally, I assume leadership of unit signal training, providing technical advice and assistance. Furthermore, I am responsible for the development and execution of communications security management (COMSEC) policies and guidelines within the Battalion. Ensuring the well-being of two Soldiers and their families is also part of my duties.

25U20 DIVISION SIS Retrans Team Chief

As the DIVISION SIS Retrans Team Chief, my responsibilities encompass planning, supervising, and integrating the installation, operation, and maintenance of Combat Net Radio (CNR), which includes radio, Division Level Retransmission (RETRANS), and Blue Force Trackers (JCR). I am responsible for planning and providing unit-level training for CNR and Signal support equipment, as well as assisting in Observer Controller (OC) installation and verification of CNR in support of Division Exercise-Evaluations. Additionally, I oversee RETRANS team deployments, prepare maintenance and supply requests for unit-level signal support, and take charge of the mentorship, training, health, and welfare of six Soldiers.

NCOIC of S-6 section of BSTB

In my role as the NCOIC of the S-6 section of BSTB, I bear the responsibility for all matters concerning signal operations, automation information management, network management, and information security. I supervise and plan the installation, operation, and maintenance of the signal support systems and network integration utilizing radio, wired, and battlefield automated systems. Furthermore, I develop and implement unit-level signal maintenance programs and ensure unit-level training in all signal skills. As the Primary Information Management NCO and Telephone Control Manager, I maintain accountability for equipment valued at over $1,000,000. Additionally, I prioritize the health, welfare, and morale of five soldiers and their families.

Shop Foreman

As the Shop Foreman of a Forward Direct Support Communications Electronics repair facility, I provide supervision and training to 12 soldiers engaged in repairs and modifications of computers, data devices, single-channel ground and airborne radio systems, tacfire radar, telephone and wire equipment, night vision sights, and other special electronic devices. I am responsible for training and directing the setup and operation of mobile facilities in both combat and training environments.

25U Signal Support Specialist

In my role as a 25U Signal Support Specialist, I supervise, plan, and execute the installation, operation, and maintenance of all signal support systems, including local area and wide area networks and routers. I am responsible for network integration using radio, wire, satellite, and battlefield automated systems. I take charge of unit signal training, providing technical advice and assistance to ensure effective communication. Furthermore, I develop and execute communications security management (COMSEC) policies and guidelines within the Battalion. The management of automation setup, accountability, distribution, and troubleshooting of information systems and devices valued at $653,727 assigned to the battalion is also under my purview. Lastly, I prioritize the training, health, and welfare of five Soldiers under my supervision.

Additionally, I am accountable for supervising the health and welfare of five Soldiers under my leadership.

Forward Signal Support NCO

As a Forward Signal Support NCO, my responsibilities include supervising, installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting Signal Support Systems and terminal devices, such as radio, wire, and battlefield automated systems. I provide technical assistance and unit-level training for automation, communication, and user-owned and operated Signal equipment. I also disseminate information services policy and prepare maintenance and supply requests for unit-level Signal support. Additionally, I operate and perform PMCS (Preventive Maintenance Checks and Services) on assigned vehicles and power generators. Finally, I prioritize the accountability of Soldiers and equipment under my supervision.

Forward Signal Support NCO

In my role as a Section Chief in a forward-deployed Internment and Resettlement Military Police Battalion, I am responsible for the health, welfare, safety, and personal and professional development of two Soldiers. I serve as a communications liaison to the Afghan National Army, supporting the train, advise, and assist mission. I ensure proper Communications Security (COMSEC) fills are maintained for three camps and provide communications and automation support to the Northwestern Joint Regional Correctional Facility. Additionally, I assist in planning, coordinating, and executing communications projects with outside contractors and agencies.

Company Communications NCOIC

As the Company Communications NCOIC in a Light Infantry Battalion capable of rapid deployment, I am responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing all C4I (Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence) requirements for the Company. I assist in the supervision and training of Platoon Radio Communicators and play a key role in the development, scheduling, coordination, and evaluation of all communications training at the company level. Additionally, I supervise the installation, operation, and maintenance of all communications equipment and monitor their status to support maintenance. I am also responsible for maintaining TAMMS (The Army Maintenance Management System) records.

S6

In my position as the S6 for the Headquarters and Headquarters Battalion of the 25th ID, which consists of over 900 personnel, I am responsible for the morale, welfare, training, and professional development of the Battalion’s S6 section. This section comprises one NCO and six Soldiers. I serve as the senior advisor to the Battalion Commander on all signal-related matters. Additionally, I supervise tactical communications and provide automated Help Desk support to the Battalion Command team, Staff sections, and six Divisional General Staff sections. Furthermore, I am accountable for the security, care, and maintenance of sub-hand-receipted and tactical communications equipment valued at over $2,000,000.

Senior Signal Support Systems NCO 25U20

As the Senior Signal Support Systems/Retransmission Team Chief in a Division Special Troops Battalion, my role involves supervising and integrating the installation, operation, and maintenance of signal support systems, including Command Post Platform (CPP), radio, wire, cable, and battlefield automated systems. I also plan and provide training and support for the Division’s local area networks, which serve over 10,000 users. Additionally, I assist in staff supervision of information network security and Army Information Assurance policies. Furthermore, I am responsible for the morale, welfare, and professional development of one Soldier and equipment worth over $250,000.

As a Forward Signal Support NCO in a 155mm (Paladin) Battalion, I perform senior operator duties and unit-level maintenance functions. Furthermore, I am accountable for the supervision, health, and welfare of five Soldiers under my leadership.

25U Duty Description

Major Responsibilities: The Signal Support Systems Specialist oversees, installs, utilizes, maintains, troubleshoots, and aids users with battlefield Signal support systems and terminal devices. They integrate Signal systems and networks, perform maintenance at the unit level on authorized Signal equipment and associated electronic devices, provide training and technical assistance to Signal equipment users, and operate and conduct preventive maintenance checks and service (PMCS) on assigned vehicles and power generators.

  • Skill Level 1 MOSC 25U1O: Installs, maintains, and troubleshoots Signal support equipment and terminal devices. Operates and maintains designated radio and data distribution systems, as well as selected electronic devices. Performs Signal support functions, including providing technical assistance and training for user-owned and operated automation and communications equipment. Prepares maintenance and supply requests for unit-level Signal support. Operates and conducts PMCS on assigned vehicles and power generators.
  • Skill Level 2 MOSC 25U2O: Supervises, installs, maintains, and troubleshoots Signal support systems and terminal devices, encompassing radio, wire, and battlefield automated systems. Provides technical assistance and unit-level training for automation, communication, and user-owned and operated Signal equipment. Disseminates information services policy. Prepares maintenance and supply requests for unit-level Signal support. Operates and conducts PMCS on assigned vehicles and power generators.
  • Skill Level 3 MOSC 25U3O: Plans, supervises, and integrates the installation, operation, and maintenance of Signal support systems, including radio, wire, and battlefield automated systems. Plans and delivers unit-level training for automation and communications systems and Signal support equipment. Assists in staff supervision of information services. Plans, supervises, and executes unit-level maintenance programs for Signal equipment. Prepares and integrates Signal operations orders and reports. Requests maintenance and supply replenishment for Signal support operations.
  • Skill Level 4 MOSC 25U4O: Supervises, plans, and executes the installation, operation, and maintenance of Signal support systems and network integration using radio, wire, and battlefield automated systems (BAS). Develops and implements unit-level Signal maintenance programs. Directs unit Signal training and provides commanders with technical advice and assistance. Develops and executes information services policies and procedures for supported organizations. Coordinates external Signal support mission requirements. Prepares and implements Signal operations orders and reports. Plans and requests Signal logistics support for unit-level operations and maintenance.
  • Skill Level 5 MOSC 25U5O: Supervises, plans, and integrates the installation, employment, and maintenance of Signal support systems, encompassing radio, wire, and battlefield automated systems. Develops staff information services policies and procedures. Establishes unit Signal maintenance programs, policies, and procedures. Plans and conducts Division, Brigade, and Battalion Signal support operations and user-owned and operated Signal equipment training. Provides commanders and subordinate units with technical advice and assistance. Coordinates Signal activities with higher, lower, and adjacent headquarters. Performs Signal staff functions and develops Signal policies and battlefield integration plans in support of Division, Brigade, and Battalion Signal operations.
