Geospatial Engineer, MEB HHC

As a Geospatial Engineer in the MEB HHC (Maneuver Enhancement Brigade Headquarters and Headquarters Company), your role involves planning, collecting, evaluating, and supervising the production of geospatial products. You provide detailed geospatial analysis products for the MEB and its subordinate elements. Additionally, you are responsible for the maintenance and accountability of geospatial equipment. Your expertise facilitates training activities on Digital Geographic Information Systems (DGIS) and staff processes related to geospatial products. It is important that you maintain proficiency in DGIS systems and oversee the maintenance of required equipment and systems within the section.

Production Squad Leader

In the position of Production Squad Leader within the 5th Geospatial Planning Cell, your responsibilities include leading a squad and ensuring the training, welfare, morale, professional development, and combat readiness of the Soldiers under your command. You plan, collect, evaluate, and supervise the production of geospatial products. Your work involves providing detailed geospatial analysis products to support the intelligence preparation of the battlefield in the United States Army Pacific Command Theater of operations. Additionally, you are responsible for the maintenance and accountability of geospatial equipment.

Data Extraction Squad Leader

As a Data Extraction Squad Leader within the 5th Geospatial Planning Cell, your role involves leading a squad and taking responsibility for the training, welfare, morale, professional development, and combat readiness of the Soldiers in your unit. You specialize in collecting, evaluating, analyzing, and supervising the extraction of geographic data from collateral data sources such as satellite imagery, aerial photography, and digital data. This work supports operations throughout the United States Army Pacific Command Theater of operations. You are also responsible for the maintenance and accountability of geospatial equipment.

Squad Leader, Data Generation Squad

As the Squad Leader for the Data Generation Squad, your responsibilities include training, professional development, welfare, morale, quality of life, and discipline of four Soldiers under your command. You supervise and manage geospatial information databases that produce tactical decision aids. Your role includes analyzing the effects of weather on terrain as applied to command, control, communication, computer, and intelligence systems. Additionally, you oversee the generation of data for imagery, maps, databases, and collateral source material. You are responsible for the maintenance and accountability of property valued at over $250,000.

Senior Geospatial Engineer

As the Senior Geospatial Engineer for a deployable Stryker Brigade Combat Team (SBCT), your role involves overseeing the health, welfare, and morale of two Soldiers under your command. You manage topographic analysis support for six separate battalions and the Brigade Headquarters. Your responsibilities include coordinating and validating data collection requirements, supervising quality control processes for topographic production, advising command and staff officers on all aspects of topographic operations, and coordinating the planning and creation of military geographic information and products. Additionally, you facilitate activities related to training on Digital Geographic Information Systems within the SBCT.

Geospatial Engineer in a Group Assignment

In your role as the Geospatial Engineer Sergeant within the 3rd Special Forces Group (Airborne) Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT) Section, you are responsible for the daily production of terrain and geospatial products. These products support Group battalions and Special Operations Task Forces (SOTF) deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF), United States Central Command (CENTCOM), and the 3rd SFG Area of Responsibility (AOR). You provide GEOINT products and data to support the Combined Joint Special Operations Task Force-Afghanistan (CJSOTF-A). Your expertise in geospatial analysis and production is crucial for mission success.
