As a Power Distribution Specialist assigned to the 27th Engineer Battalion in support of XVIII Corps, your role is crucial in providing assistance during natural disasters and power outages. You collaborate with civilian authorities to restore power to affected areas. Your responsibilities include installing generators to ensure the operation of critical facilities. You also play a vital role in maintaining Critical Power Panels, SSUPS generators, and switch gear cabinets. Additionally, you survey and install new power lines and transformers to establish or restore electricity supply. You contribute to the installation of electrical prime power distribution systems, exterior services, and utility poles. Moreover, you connect service drops and conduits on de-energized systems, ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of power.
