15Q30 Facility Chief
Serves as the Chief of the Facility, overseeing the Tactical Airspace Integration System (TAIS), ensuring adherence to Army and FAA rules and regulations. Assigns and directs all aspects of subordinate work, providing on-the-job training (OJT) and conducting training assessments. Maintains records of controller performance and facility maintenance. Evaluates the operational effectiveness of facility systems, subsystems, and equipment. Assists aviation units and Airspace Command and Control (AC2) elements, while shouldering responsibility for the well-being, morale, training, physical fitness, professional development, discipline, and combat readiness of six Troopers directly supporting the 82ND Airborne Division.
15Q30 Facility Chief
Serves as the Chief of the Air Traffic Control Facility, responsible for the welfare, training, and supervision of eight Troopers. Ensures the safe, organized, and swift flow of air traffic while delivering Air Traffic services (ATS) at remote training areas to directly support the 82ND Airborne Division. Assigns and directs all aspects of subordinate work and manages the implementation of the Air Traffic Training Program (ATTP). Ensures compliance with Army and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) procedures and regulations.
Facility Chief
Currently serving as the chief of the Airspace Information Center (AIC), ensuring the facility operates in accordance with military and FAA rules and regulations governing Air Traffic Control (ATC). Ensures the operational readiness of facility equipment and associated NAVAIDs valued over $500,000. Maintains controllers’ compliance with physical standards outlined in AR 40-501, AR 95-2, DA Pam 611-21, and OPM handbook X-118. Takes responsibility for the welfare of one NCO and five Soldiers.
Facility Chief
Serves as the Facility Chief assigned to a fixed base facility located 10 miles from Company Headquarters. Responsible for the welfare, training, and development of four Soldiers, one NCO, and seven DA Civilians. Manages and administers the facility training program. Conducts physical fitness and Army Warrior Task (AWT) training. Executes management control responsibilities and ensures compliance with Army and FAA procedures and regulations. Evaluates the operational effectiveness of facility systems, subsystems, and equipment valued at over $300,000. Provides advice to the Commander and ATC Chief on facility-specific matters.
15Q40 A2C2 SERGEANT
Serves as the Sergeant in charge of A2C2 (Air Defense and Airspace Management) within the AN/TSQ-253 Air Defense and Airspace Management (ADAM) Cell in a High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMAR) Brigade. Responsible for the proper utilization of airspace in accordance with all Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Department of Defense (DOD), and local regulations. Facilitates efficient, safe, and orderly usage of the Brigade’s airspace by multiple users, including artillery, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), rotary wing (RW) and fixed-wing (FW) aircraft across the Corps area of operations. Accountable for the maintenance, serviceability, and accountability of equipment worth over $5,000,000. Ensures the training, mentorship, health, and welfare of five Soldiers.
15Q40 Platoon Sergeant
Responsible for supervising and managing the Terminal Control Platoon within the 82nd Airborne Division’s Air Traffic Services (ATS) Company. Oversees the professional development and welfare of the 22 Troopers comprising the Communication/Navigation (COMNAV) Maintenance Section, the tactical Air Traffic Control Tower (ATCT) team, and the tactical Ground Controlled Approach (GCA) team. Ensures compliance with Army regulations and FAA Orders. Oversees the operational readiness of nine vehicles and numerous pieces of associated ATS and maintenance equipment.
15Q30 Tactical Team Leader
Manages the Tactical Terminal Control System (TTCS), ensuring compliance with Army and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) rules and regulations. Assigns and directs all aspects of subordinates’ work, while ensuring proper on-the-job training and conducting training assessments. Maintains records of controller performance and facility maintenance. Evaluates the operational effectiveness of facility systems, subsystems, and equipment. Takes responsibility for the well-being, welfare, training, physical fitness, professional development, discipline, and combat readiness of one NCO and four Troopers. Provides guidance and coaching to all Troopers.
Air Traffic Control Specialist
Serves as an Air Traffic Control Specialist for the Army Radar Approach Control (ARAC) within the Air Traffic Control (ATC). Provides aviation guidance based on Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) guidelines, taking into account atmospheric conditions and airspace variables. Directly supervises, trains, and ensures the well-being of two NCOs and two Soldiers. Responsible for aircraft reports and adherence to standard operating procedures in a restricted area. Assists in the accountability and maintenance of over $7.5 million worth of Airfield equipment and $200,000 worth of Air Traffic Control equipment. Maintains logs, forms, and facility records. Assists in the management of the airfield safety program.
Shift Leaders
Updates the Automated Terminal Information Systems (ATIS) and performs radar scope alignment. Coordinates terminal/enroute control, providing non-radar approach control, ground-controlled approach, enroute flight following, and tower services. Conducts ATC facility and on-the-job training. Briefs shift personnel on runway utilization, airfield conditions, and weather/ground activities. Prepares and updates flight following maps. Supervises the operation of flight following facilities and leads a shift in a tactical ATC tower, radar, or flight following facility.
