13A Battery Commander

Serves as the commanding officer of a Battery in an Airborne Field Artillery Regiment of the xxxxxxx; supports a mission of xxxxxxx; assists in coordinating, planning, and resourcing battery and regimental level events; responsible for leading over 80 Paratroopers and ensuring accountability for over $1 million dollars worth of property.

13A Field Artillery Officer

Commands one or more field artillery batteries; directs and supervises field artillery training, convoys, and operations; provides indirect fire support with high-explosive projectiles and illumination to supported units; ensures the operational readiness of 7 howitzers, supporting vehicles, and communication equipment; coordinates the efforts of Forward Observers, Fire Direction Center personnel, Gunners, Communication specialists, and the Aid station; maintains personal proficiency in the Military Occupational Specialty and oversees the deployment readiness of all personnel.
