Senior Geospatial Engineer Sergeant

In the capacity of the Senior Geospatial Engineer Sergeant, I fulfill the role of overseeing the Civil Information Management Cell (CIM). My responsibilities encompass the well-being, welfare, and morale of a single Soldier. I also supervise and manage topographic analysis support for two Brigades, ensuring the coordination and validation of data collection requirements. Moreover, I oversee quality control processes for topographic production and provide guidance to command and staff officers on all aspects of topographic operations. Additionally, I coordinate the planning and creation of military geographic information and products, as well as facilitate activities related to the training on Geographic Information Systems within the CACOM.

12Y20 MEB HHC

My responsibilities as a 12Y20 MEB HHC involve planning, collecting, evaluating, and supervising the production of geospatial products. I provide detailed geospatial analysis products for the Maneuver Enhancement Brigade and its subordinate elements. Ensuring the maintenance and accountability of geospatial equipment is also part of my duties. Furthermore, I facilitate activities pertaining to training on Digital Geographic Information Systems and collaborate with staff processes involving geospatial products. I maintain proficiency in DGIS systems and oversee the maintenance of the required equipment and systems within the section.

Production Squad Leader

As a Squad Leader for the 5th Geospatial Planning Cell, I hold the responsibility of the training, welfare, morale, professional development, quality of life, and combat readiness of Soldiers. In addition, I plan, collect, evaluate, and supervise the production of geospatial products. Throughout the United States Army Pacific Command Theater of operations, I provide detailed geospatial analysis products to support the intelligence preparation of the battlefield. Moreover, I am accountable for the maintenance and proper handling of geospatial equipment.

Data Extraction Squad Leader

In my role as a Squad Leader for the 5th Geospatial Planning Cell, I am entrusted with the training, welfare, morale, professional development, quality of life, and combat readiness of Soldiers. I specialize in collecting, evaluating, analyzing, and supervising the extraction of geographic data from collateral data sources such as satellite imagery, aerial photography, and digital data throughout the United States Army Pacific Command Theater of operations. Additionally, I assume responsibility for the maintenance and accountability of geospatial equipment.

Squad Leader, Data Generation Squad

As the Squad Leader for the Data Generation Squad, I am responsible for METL task training, professional development, welfare, morale, quality of life, and discipline of four Soldiers. My duties include supervising and managing geospatial information databases that produce tactical decision aids. I conduct analyses on the impact of weather conditions on terrain, particularly in relation to command, control, communication, computer, and intelligence systems. Furthermore, I oversee the generation of data for imagery, maps, databases, and collateral source material, while ensuring the maintenance and accountability of property valued at over $250,000.

Senior Geospatial Engineer

Assuming the role of the Senior Geospatial Engineer for a deployable Stryker Brigade Combat Team (SBCT), I am responsible for the well-being, welfare, and morale of two Soldiers. Additionally, I oversee and manage topographic analysis support for six separate Battalions and the Brigade Headquarters. My duties involve coordinating and validating data collection requirements, as well as supervising quality control processes for topographic production. I provide advisory support to command and staff officers on all aspects of topographic operations. Moreover, I am involved in coordinating the planning and creation of military geographic information and products, and I also facilitate activities pertaining to training on Digital Geographic Information Systems within the SBCT.

12Y Geospatial Engineer in a Group Assignment

As the Geospatial Engineer Sergeant for the 3rd Special Forces Group (Airborne) Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT) Section, I am entrusted with the daily production of terrain and geospatial products supporting Group battalions and Special Operations Task Forces (SOTF) deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF), United States Central Command (CENTCOM), and the 3rd SFG Area of Responsibility (AOR). Additionally, I provide GEOINT products and data to support the Combined Joint Special Operations Task Force-Afghanistan (CJSOTF-A).
